Closer

'Closer'

Inspired intially by experiments on paper and an attempt to make bolder more graphic shapes in my work, this took on a life of it's own as I worked into the layers and played with the marks and colour combination. I was thinking about connection and attachment whilst I painted, bringing thoughts of my family to the composition and feel of the piece.
