Nurture

'Nurture'

Intuitively painted around my vague memories of being in nature, laying in fields and studying wildflowers. I chose neon coral and pinks to be the basis of the underpainting, from there building layers of blues, maroon and greens, adding depth and shapes that conjured for me the sense of moving plants, dazzling sunlight and the energy of nature. I feel that nature is being totally taken for granted and we need to hold onto what we have, nurture and recognise our need to conserve our connection.
